As RECI are operating under the Safe Electric brand, the new Safe Electric website will replace both the existing Safe Electric and RECI websites and will be a key form of communication with both customers and RECs regarding electrical safety, providing an engaging user experience for both target audiences.
The new Safe Electric website will be compatible and fully adaptable for mobile devices accommodating smaller and larger screen resolutions including smart phones, tablet devices, etc. It will be easy to navigate for both new and expert users, and cater for those who rely on adaptive technologies, also allowing access to people with disabilities. It will, therefore, be easy to navigate by all users.
Customers will use the website to find RECs using the improved search functionality and the website will provide informative content to improve safety awareness. The new Safe Electric website will also offer improved online reporting of suspected illegal electrical works and submission of complaints regarding RECs.
Additionally, it will enable contractors to perform a number of administrative tasks in a self-service manner, allowing them to keep their registrations up to date. The new website will also provide tools for contractors to receive alerts and notifications via email, making communication between them and Safe Electric easier, faster and more efficient.
